Czech Republic international player Tomas Soucek has been one of the standout players for West Ham United in their bid to secure Champions League football at the end of the season. He continued his good form for the Hammers in the latest win over Leicester City at the weekend.
In-form Jesse Lingard had scored a brace to give the Hammers a 2-0 lead against the Foxes thus maintain his good goalscoring form. The abovementioned Bowen then added a third goal to put the East Londoners in a fantastic position to secure the three points at stake.
Three Lions of England attacker Lingard has been in sensational form for the East London club since joining on loan from Manchester United during the January transfer window. He has scored eight goals and added three assists in nine games for the Hammers.
Leicester City fought back to score two second half goals through another in-form player in Kelechi Iheanacho but Lingard and his West Ham teammates held on to take the three pointsat stake. The slender victory ensured that West Ham reclaimed fourth place ahead of Chelsea. The Blues had taken fourth ahead of the Hammers with the 4-1 away win over Crystal Palace in the London Derby. Leicester City are in third spot and they are also in the battle for Champions League football.
As things stand, fourth-placed West Ham have one more point than London rivals and fifth-placed Chelsea in the battle for the Champions League places. The Hammers also trail third-placed Leicester City by one point.
